Since the MUCK is down *and* I am unable to connect to the MUCK for an indeterminate period even if it was up, I figured a good ol' Forum RP would suit me best. I figured we need some interaction along the lines of Palandasyans trying to get opportunities to assimilate. This should allow for folks who plan to keep their characters in the Pridelands to be able to handle things when the time comes, and those who don't will be able to show some friction. Enough OOC rambling, I'll start this off.

For the past moon since Palandasya fell, Uzuri, daughter of Sabiri, and eldest cub of the late Hukumu is still stewing in her own hatred for her situation. Her father is dead, killed by the vicious uncaring paw of the Mashaitani murderers. All she can think about in her life is becoming Hunt Mistress, and killing the one responsible for her father's death.
She wouldn't just kill him, she would make it known to him, his group of murderers, the entire world, that it was Uzuri who avenged the death of Hukumu for him and her own honor. She would make sure each of those Mashaitani killers would pay.
She had little else to do, being thrust into the strange land of King Ahadi. After all, her father is dead, her mother is missing, so are her two younger siblings. Tunu had dissappeared moons ago, and she never found Sarafina during the attack. All she has now is Chioh, her uncle, her half-brother Dawa, and her three cousins: Adhama, Karasi, and Kiume.
Over the course of the moon, Uzuri had learned of th existance of the blind cub with unusual abilities, and three times she tried to get him to give her some semblance of a plan for destroying her enemy. She would talk to him when he would come under watch of a lioness to drink from the waterhole, where the Palandasyans stay.
His response, ivariably, was the same, time after time, and Abidemi had said: "My gift is not to be used as a claw, or a tooth. I will not reveal that which will allow you to kill another for any reason."
Uzuri felt more and more that Abidemi is a coward. What a waste of talent if he won't reveal what he knows. Frustrated, she decided to plea for help in a more direct fashion, and, ignoring her uncle's words to stay put at the waterhole, she headed for Pride Rock.
In its magnificence, Pride Rock looked a lot bigger in person, almost as if it were a monolithic sentinel watching each and every creature in the Pridelands, overseeing the order of the Mashaitani. Her heart pounding, Uzuri took a bold first step, climbing the rocks of Prode Rock, hoping to speak to someone who would help her.
