His mothers been killed and and Runa is finally told about it by the one who did the killing. Does he take it as bad as the other did, or is there something else on his mind?
Grassy Plains - Remote Waterhole
Harimu
Runako
Shausha (spoofed)
Scene:
Mwenyezi... Harimu hates that name. There's no way he'll go back there. The rogue is resting there, on top od HIS rock, that throne, worthy for the... How was he called the other day? Oh yes, Keisha called him 'King of Rogues', he loved it, and he liked the lioness too... Where is everybody? Sure the cub is practicing, or training with his lioness, His brother on the other paw is surely hunting, getting for the family. Harimu is tired, alone... Bored, just watching the sun go down slowly. Soon it will be night, and he will go do something, probably hunt, or go look for his lioness... Who knows. But for now, the rogue is just laid there, lazy King, waiting for something to happen.
After having been left out in the middle of no where in the Pridelands, Runako had nearly given up hope that he would be brought to safer lands. Thinking of heading back home- where ever that was -on his own, he encounted Shausha who had obviously been looking for Harimu but found him instead. They talked for a good while, about something he heard nights before- something about death. He tried for so long to believe none of it was going to happen... how could it. Letting it drift from his mind when Shausha told him that the things in Mwenyezi were no longer important, that a new life is to unfold; he returned to her to the remote waterhole. The idea of returning to Mwen was not even on his mind. Right up beside the lioness, Runako looks to the ground as he walks... he can't forget- but he must. The sight of the rogue up head isn't one he really wants to see. Leaving Shausha, stoping at the murky waters edge and sitting, he looks at his reflection. A sympathic look crosses Shausha's face as she passes ahead of the young lion towards Harimu.
Rumors about Mwenyezi... Harimu should tell the cub that his mother fought well, that she was a worthy opponent. But no, not while the lioness is there, if he wants to talk to the cub, he'll do it alone, with the cub only. As the two lions come closer to the waterhole, Harimu nods to the cub, offering a greeting of some sort, but the smile on his face is addressed to the lioness instead, "Shausha..." The rogue whispers to himself, following her with his gaze. The cub is still in Harimu's mind, but the lioness comes first. The rogue sits down, slowly and lazily, waiting for her to get closer.
She knows many things are on the minds of the lions here; so many things that it hurts. Pressing forward towards Harimu she tries to give a half way decent smile but it turns out to be an awkward frown. Taking a seat next to the rock the rogue lounges on, Shausha takes a look back out towards Runako. "You've hurt in, Harimu. You hurt him far worse than any visable scar." She glances to the lion. "He may not know of recent events, but the thought of it... It's on his eyes. He knows you left him that day to finish a deal. Now whether he'll admit it..." She pauses as Runako looks over at them. Their talking about him, he can see it. Keeping his eyes on them for a moment longer, he looks back into the waters swiping at it with a paw, muttering to himself. 'She's right. Things don't matter there anymore.'
This is not good. Harimu was expecting something different, and nice greeting, something nice, becuase he's had enough of it. He needs something else... A nice talk or food or a fight... Not this, not more trouble. The rogue looks at the cub as he listens, letting a heavy sigh escape his muzzle, "We had too... We'll talk with him, do not worry." The rogue stands up completely, standing next to the lioness but still looking at the cub. The rogue nuzzles the lioness, rubbing his nose against her neck for a moment before walking towards the cub, "Runako... There is something we must tell thee. It may not come as a surprise... But thou must know it." The rogue stands in front of the cub, waiting for the cub to say something.
"Had to... you sound as if he had a claw to your throut." Shausha states shaking her head. Looking to the cub once more, "Anyhow, It's not the talk I worry of, it's him." The nuzzle, the nose rubbing to her neck, if only he'd show that kind of compassion to the ones he robs from. Watching Harimu make for the cub she remains seated, listening from afar. Making another swip at the waters surface, Runako is catch mid drift when his name is called out. Looking to the rogue his eyes narrow then open wide. "What, you soulless..." he mutter practially unheard. "Tell me what?" he then asks in a aggitative tone. How know what is about to be said, but he might as well sit and hear it from the rogue first; might be best.
Harimu sits down in front of the cub, looking down at him. Ok, go straight to the point, why give silly details, "Thy mother is gone..." Sure, be cold, heartless, be like that... Harimu really feels odd, telling this to the cub. Why is he doing it? he doesn't care for the cub, does he? No, it's just another like cub, like others he has trained, why does he care for this one, Runa reminds him of himself when he was a cub, "We are sorry... It was part of the deal, thou art free now. The lions of Mwenyezi will not come looking for thee. Thou art free now, to stay or to go. Let us tell thee something... Thy mother, she fought well, thou should be proud." Well, that's something Harimu is not use to, but ok, he's trying to be nice here.
It takes Runako several moments to say or do anything. He knew it was going to happen but he was told to forget it, that it didn't matter. How can it not matter. His mother was murder; and whats worse is that is was his own uncle's idea. He can not blame Harimu for following such a task- or can he -he wanted to keep him. "Your not sorry. I bet your enjoyed it." he says in an outburst. "You killed her for what... to keep me from my home... for what!?" Bugh had to of offered the rogue something in return. He doesn't care, instead he moves away from the rogue. Not angered at Harimu for his actions, its what rogues do; his angered at his uncle. He killed his mother... his father too for all he knows. He's probably just waiting for the right opportune to kill his siblings aswell. Bug mustn't get away with this. Coming to a dead stop Runako turns back to Harimu. "It doesn't matter anymore. There is nothing left for me there. I may soon as well be dead too if I'd stay with them." What does he mean by that; is he going to stay here and become a rogue himself? What else do he have left in life if not to- nothing.
Harimu stays where he is, never drawing his gaze away from the cub. He hurt the cub, he knows it. Bug gave the order and Harimu followed it... He knows he did something wrong, he knew that Kutamani was the cub's mother... And yet he didn't stop, he killed her, and yes, he had a lot of fun doing it, her taste, her blood, everything was perfect. The rogue listens to the cub, even if he walks away from him, he remains there, looking at him all the time, "If thou wish to kill Bug, we will gladly help." Yes, the King will die, and Harimu will help, he'll make sure the King of Mwenyezi gets what he deserves, a slow and painful death.
Kill bug; if that isn't the most grand idea he's heard yet. However, his uncle doesn't deserve to be killed, but rather tortored till lifes end; till he screams for death by name. Though even then, it shall not come. Trying to hold back a sinister grin, creeping out nonetheless, Runako steps back to the rogue. "You would do that... for me?" he questions sarcasticly. "I would have nothing less." But first Runa has training to do. He can do no damage at his current state, nor his size. Turning to the distant Shausha then back to Harimu he smirks. He's got the best teachers at his disposal; may hard times unravel.
Sure, harimu will kill the King, that's what Harimu does. He kills, but! "We will help thee kill him, but it will be thee the one who will be giving the final blow. Put it this way, the death of thy uncle, by thy paw, will be the last lesson thou will recieve from us. After that, after thou have killed the King, then, thy training will be complete." Oh, so there's a plan behind all that talk from before. Yes, if the cub kills the King, it will be the last thing Harimu will help the cub with. Until then, the rogue is the master of the cub, a teacher indeed.
From the distance Shausha chuckles under her breath. To hear the cub speak of such cruel ways; they have tarnished the cubs heart with the hatred of his own family. Looking at them both she listens further. Runako gives a few more nods to the rogue as he immulates how the his uncle, the king, will be rid from the world. "Whatever it takes, I will endure it. For the sake of my family." It all comes down to family. You fight for what you have left, what you wants; no matter the consequences.
Harimu nods slowly to the cub, lowering his head to offer a lick on the cub's forehead, then he stands again, looking down at him, "Now tell us, art thou hungry?" way to change the subject, right? Harimu has a gift for that... He can say something and quickly say something else. The rogue starts walking back to the lioness, smilling to her. See? The cub understood, the cub is fine... You have to trust the rogue, he... Knows how to make things easy and chill, "Same question. There is food behind the tree on the other side of the waterhole, go on... Have some food, thou both." The rogue though, continues walking towards the lioness.
