The supposed absence of Ahadi was not the downfall of the wild dogs - if their RP was hinged on the action/reaction of a single character (even if he was an FC), then the group was dead anyway. This is not an FC-centric MUCK. The FCs are characters just like everyone else. For those complaining about the previous Ahadi's activity level: ask yourselves whether you ever actually took the initiative to page the player's alts to ask for some RP, which she probably would've gladly given. Seriously, it's getting really old that all the problems with KaV's RP is being blamed on the FCs and their respective activity levels. You all have characters of your own that are vibrant, good examples of concept and background - if you can't survive without the FCs, that's just plain silly.

Amen! I was under the impression that KaV wasn't going to be FC-centric, but it seems to have turned out that way. If you can't find RP with an FC, it's not going to end your life, I promise. Most players of FCs are willing to RP at any given time . . . but if they're not up to an RP at that very second, go find RP with someone else.

I'm not sure what this is even about. FCs are important responsibilities as I've come to understand the concept from my few years of RP experience. I'm at a complete loss for what you guys are even talking about ... Wahamishi RP wasn't hinging on Ahadi though I had hoped for several months I might spot Ahadi on and IC so I could RP with him (as Uchenna) and maybe fill in the blanks between Wahamishi and their hosts.

Well FC's still kind of have a role, especially since Ahadi is a king of pride rock and essentially helps with the RP.....there....
Its like any King....of a lands...they should be active or give up the player and let someone rp them who can be on more than once a week. Its annoying when you need the King of a lands there for a RP plot and it takes 3-4 weeks to finish because someone can only connect once a week if that.
We need people to be Kings and Queens of lands who can commit to 2-3 days or nights a week at least. if not more. Its just odd to me that usually on a tlk themed muck that the regular players connect much more than the FC's......I'll never understand this but its happened on at least 4-5 different mucks I've been on where the regular players connect almost every night but the FC's hardly ever connect.
Its just plain weird how that seems to always be the case. What is it about when a player gets an FC? They don't connect more regularly like when they had a regular player? I just dont get why people who are FC's can't commit to 2-3 days or nights a week. An FC is still an important responsibility on amuck especially since a TLK muck focuses on some of the characters of the movie. This muck is supposed to be about what happens before the TLK begins...and I assume we'll transition into a TLK plot down the road. Still, the characters from the movie need to be on and RPing as they are part of this plot and the development of the tlk universe as a whole.
I know people are busy, but hey, regular players connect...so why can't the FC's? I mean you have an important role that a lot of folks would like to have. So why not feel good about the position you've been given and interact! I mean it should be seen as a privilage to be an FC and if you get that honor, you should try to committ to the character or give it to someone who can.
That's all I'm trying to say. I'm not arguing or upset, but it would be nice if some fc's on tlk themed mucks took their character roles a little more seriously.

I know people are busy, but hey, regular players connect...so why can't the FC's? I'd contest any claim that I don't, and in Wahamishi I was the only player who did connect, aside from the pups (and I had the 'head' FC). But yeah, I wholeheartedly agree. Uru seemed to be an exception but she threw a fit and quit. I definitely agree that the FCs need to commit to logon as their characters a minimum of 2-3 nights/week. I shouldn't have to go hunt through forums to track down who the FCs' alts are to see if they are connecting other characters and just not their characters they made an agreement to make a commitment to play. Unfortunately, I must disagree with you with the claim that "a lot of folks would like to have" the roles ... the reason I got Ahadi was -no one else even applied for him- for the -weeks- the role was open, and I prodded and poked on chat and poked Zazu to make an MOTD as well as post on the forum. FCs are important, I rank FC players as somewhere between the regular playerbase and staff (if they don't already have staff or higher roles as some FC players do). They are -RP stewards- and by that, I mean they -are entrusted by the administrators or staff who assigned them to be responsible for driving RP- and if they don't even bother to log their characters in (at least not without some forewarning "Hey, I'm going on vacation for a week or 4 months"), they fail their responsibilites they agreed to take on. Regular players don't have any real responsibilities aside from abiding by the rules ... they don't have to commit to logging on regularly and that's good ... life is busy and sometimes they're just bored. -RP does hinge on FCs- ... that's what FCs are there for! They drive the plots, they get and keep the action going ... that is what an FC is supposed to do and be! People who can't make the commitments shouldn't take on the characters, and if down the line playing an FC it becomes too much of a chore to log on, or life is just getting in the way -- hey, it happens -- then maybe its time to ask for someone else to take the FC.

For the record, I told staff that you were a poor choice for Ahadi - so it's not like anybody didn't try!
To reiterate: Knock it the fuck off and take your martyr complex somewhere else. THERE ARE NO VICTIMS HERE, ESPECIALLY NOT YOU.
Somebody doesn't like you? Deal with it and stop being a crybaby. You're only proving her point by keeping this up.

FCs are important, I rank FC players as somewhere between the regular playerbase and staff. No, no, no, and NO AGAIN. KaV's FCs were NEVER, EVER, EVER meant to be anything more than characters that happened to also be in the movies. THEY ARE NORMAL CHARACTERS. THEY ARE NOT STAFF, AND THEY ARE NOT SUPER-SPESHUL-SNOWFLAKES. PEOPLE JUST LIKE TO HAVE THEM AROUND. Gawd.
