Although the new TP doesn’t officially start until December 22, I’d like to get some more lions into Palandasya so we have pridal politics happening before people introduce their potential concubines-to-be. For those who don’t know what differentiates Palandasya from the other two prides on the MUCK, try to think of it as a more Eastern-themed group. It’s ruled by two kings instead of one, and while they both have their respective queens, they’re also very polygamous with a select few females that have been elevated to concubine status. These concubines are the pride’s royal lifeblood; only the kings are allowed to mate with them, producing more children in addition to the pride’s heirs. Concubines are not expected to hunt. They are, in fact, discouraged from it.
Because the kings have allowed other males lions into the pride to act as guards, they have also given them permission to sire children with females not belonging to the royal harem (other guards, huntresses, etc.). The entire pride is tended to by a clan of vervet monkeys (and other such creatures) who act as royal servants in exchange for protection from other predators.
Do any of these concepts sound appealing to you? I’ve made a list of positions in Palandasya that rank from highest to lowest. The ones in bold are characters that we need right now. I’d really prefer it if people wrote their backstories so the characters are pre-established and have been with the pride for at least a few years. That way, there’s already an element of trust, allowing things to go much smoother when the TP starts up next week.

Vizier – Male only. Can be filled by a lion, a leopard or a cheetah.
Ambassador – Male or female. Can be filled by almost any species. Avian strongly preferred.
Head Guard
Guard – Male or female. Lions only.
Concubine – Females only (obviously). Lions only.
Hunt Mistress
Huntress
Nursemaid – Female only. Can be filled by a lion, a leopard or a cheetah.
Storyteller – Male or female. Can be filled by any species.
Royal Youth
Youth
Attendant – Males or females. Can be filled by any small, dexterous species that might require protection from larger predators. Monkeys, bush babies, etc.
For the vizier, ambassador, nursemaid and storyteller positions, I would appreciate it if you got in touch with me first, before creating your character, so we can talk. If more than one person is interested, we’ll try to work something out.
Anyone interested in creating guards, huntresses, concubines and attendants can go right ahead. The pride currently isn’t accepting anymore cubs at this time.
