Sabiri preferred to hunt alone though all the training she'd received in her departed pride had centered around combat as a team. She's a bit of a hypicrite in that sense considering she continually preaches teamwork to her daughters, but there was something about the other Palandasya lionesses that just didn't sit well with the ex-assassin. Not that she didn't like them, she simply couldn't anticipate them, and that made hunting difficult.
Prize carried limply in her muzzle by the throat, the huntress advances upon the pride's home where she stops outside. The gazelle is settled uneventfully onto the grass at her forepaws before she turns her muzzle up toward the entry to the cavern and calls out to her cubs. "Uzuri! Sarafina! Tunu! Breakfast is ready! Come down and eat!"

His name was not one of those to be called, but Dawa still takes interest in what would be the first sign of activity within earshot all day. Sure, there's the usual comings and goings with the usual grunts and rumbles to greet and bid farewell, but this is the first 'real' voice to speak up since everyone dispersed for their normal activities much earlier.
The youthful prince knows well where his food comes from and to not try to grab for food that isn't offered, so he only rises and bounds up onto the dirt mound he was bored beside in order to see what's up. While he's there, and while he can be so clearly seen, a soft cooed call is uttered to announce himself, still prefering the more 'cubish' way of annoucing himself in place of the more articulate 'hellos' and 'heys' that his siblings, half-siblings, and sorta-siblings prefer.

The little body of cub Sarafina comes tumbling jumbledly from the mouth of the cave, her round little cheeks blushing with joy and anticipation. Though her smarting eyelids protest severely against the rude awakening they had received (and the abrupt, painful sunlight streaming into them), the rest of Saffy is wide-awake and ready, as is her ever-present appetite. It's one of those times- half-awake, half-asleep, and brain spilling from one end of the spectrum to the other, going through everything in-between.
In this dazed but vivacious manner, Saffy hop-skips happily up to her mother and half-brother, and with a cheery "Good morning, mom! Good morning, Dawa!" digs right in. Tearing off a large hunk of gazelle in tiny, though surprisingly powerful pincerlike jaws, she looks up wide-eyed at her mom through a thick cheek-full of gazelle, despite what she's been told about talking with her mouth full. "Moom? Wull we uhver be ubble tuh hunt lahk yooo?"

Uzuri is right behind Sarafina, of course. Like cubs all around the world, food is not only an important means of survival, it's the greatest thing ever! Uzuri leaps out of the mouth of the cave as far as she can as fast as she can until *whump!* She lands on her feed and darts as fast as her tiny cub-leggies will take her. "Food!" is her battle cry for the morning.
The enthusiatic little lioness reaches the sustenance bringing yumminess that her loving mother has deposited near the cave and with enthusiasm starts right right into the carcass with an energy that only a cub could demonstrate. Yay! Gazelle meat! Just what Uzuri was craving! The enthused cub starts making cub-growl noises with her enthusiasm to make herself look tough and all-around awesome.

Tunu wakes up after her sisters, blinking blearily into the sunlight. Mrf. Five more minutes? But when the smell of the fresh kill reaches her, Tunu is up and out of the cavern like a shot, right alongside her littermates and Dawa.
But now is a time for eating, not for talking! The spotted cub digs right in, claws hooking into the hide of the corpse as she eats, a hungry growl in her throat. MINE!
(OOC: This is my first forum RP ever. o.o Sorry if I'm bad at it!)

((I hope you don't mind if I don't have Chioh cursed in this.))
Coming from the direction of the forest, light in his steps from years of walking silent, comes one of the kings of Palandasya. His amber fur glinted in the sunlight as he walked thorugh the grass. With his head held up, he could see the cubs and Sabiri in front of a kill. The king, himself, has alraedy eaten on his patrol, the remenants of it are the blood on his muzzle as he walked closer to the group of lionesses, and Dawa. The king is silent right now, but he might speak sooner or later, depends if he is talked to or not. But for right he, he setteled on climbing up onto one of the rocks near them and laying down on it.

One, two, and there's three. Sabiri greets each of her daughters with a warm, affectionate smile as they lazily arrive; a laziness abandoned upon sight of the kill. "Uzu, make room for Tunu," she instructs. Dawa certainly does not go unnoticed as the huntress' eyes ascend directly upon the prince whereupon her smile begins to fade. She would much rather her daughters feast on any of her kills before the others, particularly the males of the youths in concentrated effort to keep them away from her cubs, but the way he's staring is enough to warm even a cold mother's heart. Curse that pesky maternal instinct.
"Are you hungry, Dawa?" She asks and motions to the kill with a slight backward wave of a forepaw. "You're welcome to have some." After the invitation is extended, albeit reluctantly, she gently lowers herself to her belly mere meters from the cubs in a protective fashion to tend to the blood coating her forepaws. With a twitch of her nose she abandons that task prematurely to shift her attention upon the approaching king to whom she inclines her muzzle and flattens her round ears back in a submissive display, if even her greeting lacks the propriety a subordinate pridemate should show. Her past sort of enticed her to abandon that little bit of unspoken policy. "G'morning, Chioh," she addresses him by name, fixing a lighthearted smile to her muzzle. Nobody can ever tell if that smile is sincere or not.

"Nah, I'm okay." Dawa insists with a bob of his head, a regal and kindly gesture that shows well his efforts to be the sort of ideal prince for his price as he can be. He's still a cub, though, and he is a fair bit hungry, enough to eye the kill with many rigid twitches of his tail. The female cubs are looked over as though pondering his pride.
This focus is broken as the older male comes on the scene, prompting him to set his hindquarters down and forget about the meat entirely.. no, not for him. A soft, cooned call like the one he gaze to the adult lioness is offered to greet the king.

The grudging look her mother rolls toward Dawa doesn’t go unnoticed by Sarafina, chewing busily away at a gazelle’s leg as she is. It doesn’t bother her unduly, however- Saffy had of course seen her mother’s protective side before, and was well used to it. In fact, she was even a bit pleased by it (in her own childish way), as she had inherited from her mother an inherent distrust of all boy-cubs, whomever they may be.
Upon further observation, though, it appeared that momma was inviting Dawa to a share of the kill after all- a motion that rather surprised Saffy, but she said nothing. What surprised her even more, however, was the unignorable fact that Dawa had nobly refused to partake in the meal lying prone before his eyes- raising him a slight notch above the other boy-cubs, but still Sarafina eyed him rather coldly. In this respect, Saffy was acting oddly- or, to be more precise, she got this way every time her mother’s presence loomed near- not out of intimidation of any sort, but rather, through a marked want to emulate their respected mother, Sabiri. She ignored all else, including Chioh (whom she had her back to), rigidly absorbed. Indeed, there was nothing more she wanted- to be an awe-inspiring huntress like momma, but as she was as yet the most inept of the three sisters, she daren’t say nothing…she continues eating.
