Well, it's still down. Three weeks now and our KaV is still down. Sorry for the bad news, but you're not missing much since no one can get any RP there.

I spoke with Timon tonight, and he's having trouble transferring the stuff over to a stable machine. As I understand it, the best he could do right now is bring the game up without the character files - which means everyone would have to re-request from scratch.
He's working on it, though.

Well, if it'll get it up any sooner, I personally wouldn't mind re-requesting.

It shouldn't be too much trouble getting characters back. This could even weed out the inactive characters. It's the rooms and stuff I'd be worrying about.

I think some of the descriptions are here on the forum, in the staff section. They should still be there, anyway.
Besides, Timon is making a new place. If it doesn't have the same plotlines or time setting as KaV did, I doubt it will have the same grid.

How can that be? There's no 'character files' in ProtoMUCK. The characters are just as much part of the DB as rooms and things. The only objects that have individual files are MUF programs. Are you sure you heard Timon right?

Pretty sure. It's a MUF/MPI issue (I think?). He can explain it better than I can.

Day Angry: There's a reason why I haven't been on, alright. You see, my laptop, in addition to being infested with a virus, no anti-virware, no firewall, missing a X button, and starting to seriously slow down on me, it's power cord decided it would be cool to stop working. So I slapped all I could into a 4 gig flash drive in 15 minutes and let the computer die from lack of electricity. I ordered another power cord off ebay, it took a week or so to get here, which is why I haven't been on AT ALL. It arrived, and I noticed it came from Hong Kong, and without a reciept. I said to myself out loud "If this doesn't work, I'm screwed." I'll end my quote there for deciency sake. Sure enough, I opened the enveloped, unwrapped it all, pluged it in and _____! Nothing. Didn't work, got screwed out of 40 bucks. Great. I went to work at a consession stand as I do from time to time for a few hours, and had some time to think while I worked. And when I say worked, I meant I volenteered, I didn't actually get paid. So I decided, when I got home, to buy a new computer. A new laptop, that is. So I went to Office Depot, compaired everything for an hour, and then picked one out, and here I am. (Very nice Toshiba, Intel Core dual processors at 1024MB SDRAM=sweeeet). However, I am missing a very large amount of stuff from my old laptop that I wish I had on this one. That, however, could prove to be hard. Now, what have I done for my music fixes? As you probably don't know, I don't exist very well without music. Let's go through the list, shall we? How about my laptop? No, I just told you that. My iPod? They're broken. Both of them. My CD player? Broken. My boombox? The CD player decided it would be funny to stop working properly, and sound fuzzy like a broken record machine. I haven't been listening to music in a very long time, and all of this is making me just a little bit (or more) insane. I've had a really long week... I just feel horrible. I don't need sympathy, I just need somebody to hug. Because if not, my head will explode (again). I had a *bit* of a meltdown 6th period on thursday. Took it out on my teacher, a friend, and later the principal. My friend knew what was going on and was really cool about it, she made me feel a million times better. However, the teacher (sexist, feminist, rude, cranky) and the principal (generally a good guy) didn't quite take it so well. Not the best day in the world, no. Phew... that said, is KaV up yet?

*looks around nervously* Umm...no....Z....KaV isn't gonna be up for a while.....It's kinda closed.....um...*scoots away from Z*...There's the new muck, Great Circle...take a look on the announcements board for the address to the forums...As for music, you can do what I did, which was spend an hour or so on youtube finding vids to all the songs you like, making them into a playlist, then playing them all and minimizing the window. It works pretty well to get you til you can rebuild your music library....don't hurt me. *runs away and hides*
