I fully expect in some shape, form or capacity to bring Huruma over here. Yes. Everyone's favorite cub-eating, fetus-slashing, guard-dogging psychotic is going to come back. I've written down a few concepts for this group, as well as some general layouts. This may be the first non-leonine baddies group, so pay attention.
1) Who: Huruma will by default take this, moreso. Let me know at the end if you would like a spot, and I'll get in touch sometime. I'll post a list of positions later. I also need a NAME.
I was still thinking Shadowcats, but feel free to suggest.
2) What: A group of leopards, as well as any tree-climbing cats. Other felids and other species in general will be taken on a case-by-case basis. The group will be Neutral Evil, as in Neutral with malevolent or violent tendencies, but the group will be seen as Chaotic Evil to the outside world, as in purely evil. This group will basically live in the same place, under a set of guidelines that must be followed to live there. If not, death or exile. Somewhat pirate-like in that way.
3) Where: The location may or not be Kilimanjaro, however I do know it will be a deep jungle of some kind.
4) How: Feel free to think up any more ideas!!!
Traditionally Radical African Amazons. As an intellectual on Amazon cultures, I find this option to be my easiest to make clear. Greek and Turkish Amazons lived in realtively peaceful settings, whereas African 'Amazons'...they were absolutley insane. Seriously. And I would plan to base the group off of that culture of Warrior Women. But no, not all in the group would need to be female. I'll get to that now.
KEEP IN MIND THAT THESE ARE AFRICAN AMAZONS, PLEASE. I know my girls. The Greeks/Turks were Individualistic and Self-Appreciating, where as you'll see, Africans were about Blood, Guts and Glory. Not to say the Greeks/Turks weren't like that, but in a general sense, the G/T were nicer and more "civil", by far.
Traditionally, radical amazons in Africa were situated along the lower edges of the Sahara, from Mali to Sudan, and the Mediterranian edge of the north. They lived in close-knit villages of women and young girls. Men were used and sometimes even kept as slaves or 'pets', and were for mating purposes. Male children were killed, sold or left in the bush. Sometimes, male slaves were in fact Eunuchs, if the women so thought that his company was sufficient to keep her amused and/or satiated as a servant. Outside of the village, the women prized themselves on killing men. In war, or on the path, it didn't matter. The Mother Earth was a woman, not a man. Thusly, the Earth meant for women to rule as she does, and take dominion over males. There were few instances of love in the more Radical culture of Africa, whereas Greek/Turkish often had occurences. Most of the time, love equals death. Many leaders of the African Amazons put up with not a drop, while some permitted it on the basis of whether she liked the idea or not. But for the most part, love=death, unless one was an ass-kisser, or the man was a Eunuch. No unplanned children. At all. Rape was punishable by death, and unplanned babies were killed, sold or left in the bush, male or female. Though female children were more likely to merely be sold, whereas unplanned males were a horrendous act of the Goddess and made out to be killed more oft than not.
War and battle, as well as defense of the home were highly regarded. Though many villages stayed to themselves, if they happened to be bought as help or induced into defense or guarding of their homeland, woe be the foe that is. In this case, the cats would stay to themselves about 85% of the time, and defend from a point. However I will retain that about the other 15% of things done by them will be violent and war-like, though not directly. They will be like the old cats in this way. Prod from afar, kill and run, see what nuts we can stir up without getting the homeland dragged into it. Stuff like that. Manipulating, cunning, and bloodthirsty.
Social Hierarchy would likely go as follows.
Matriarchs: Huruma, for one. They act as a Jungle council of sorts for the loose sisterhood. Huruma is going to be the high matriarch, as well.
Populace: Whoever wants to be in the group, according to the base layout. Female tree-cats, then female cats, then female anything. Female children come before adult Males, as well. Hyena-like, but less concentrated in the fact that they ARE NOT A CLAN. They are a COMMUNITY by rules of ASSOCIATION and SISTERHOOD.
Slaves: Males, Eunuchs. Like Populace, but basically dirt. that is, IF they keep you. Males must be run by me in any way before you decide on one. So that you aren't too upset later.
Keep in mind this is a group, not a clan, or a pride. It is a sisterhood of ideals. Also, all of this is subject to change, based on whether you guys just want a plain old Kilimanjaro-type. The views with the TRAA will be severely similar, but not so limited to that concept of Survival of the Fittest. It is here, yes, but the levels of committment vary with characters. Huruma, for example, prizes the concept. You might choose to almost ignore it. Tell me what you want, in any case.
