Chuki and Clsa made me watch cats. Then I thought Rum Tum Tugger reminded me a little of Heph in a bit of a convo w/Ajazi. And somehow from that, I got the idea of a TP for the death of Mohatu; or one of our older fellows, perhaps. XD Mohatu could always be Deuteronomy, also. Hee.
It was just a brain spurt, but...it sounds fun in concept. :3

But, but, but!
That would mean we'd need a Munkustrap!
....DIBS!
Can you outline your plot idea a little? Since, you know... CATS doesn't have an explicitly clear one. xD

I dunno. I kinda thought it'd be cute, that's all. Some lion has to get a new chance at life and what not, and there's a whole bunch of little things leading up to it, as well as some oddball conflicts and such. And there's lots of chances to get funny little people involved. XD
Feel free to help me out.
And now that I look, Mohatu would make a fun Deuter. xD

Oh I get it now. XD
Sounds fine to me. Do you want an equivilent to the "Jelicile" cat, or just.. random kitties that happen upon the gathering?
DUDE. We should make it a Mayday plot. Because that whole Jelicle Ball things is so May-ish.

I think just random cats that fit the thing. And don't worry, you non-cats. You can probably fit in too.
It would make a nice start-of-summer thing, yes. :3 But first off. Who could be the one to go at the end?

Shhh! We'll figure it out. Afterall, isn't the point of the ball for Deut to pick someone?

I just had an idea. What if the Jelicle Tribe was equivilant to rogues?
We need more rogues. D:

Technically, all cats are Jelicle cats, aren't they? I think Webber even said it, too. And yeah, rogues are nice. xD But still, they wouldn't be really needed. unless some of the males and stuff in prides started breaking off.

Oh man, I'd love to take part in this. Former-huge Cats fanatic (now just casual fan). Rogue lion, wild cat, I'll create whichever critter that'd would be used.

Hrm, ok, I think I have some format. So the Duet and the Munku-dude set up shop someplace. If you look at CATS as a series of stories about specific cats, it's easy to see them as "applications" to go to the Heavyside lair, i.e. be reborn. So what if Deut and Munku just...listened to stories, but stayed stationary? I'm sure they'd draw a crowd - of pridals, rogues, and misc. felines.

Can you explain this to those of us who have never seen Cats? It's like trying to understand a conversation in German. XD

I was about to say the same thing. Having never seen the musical, the movie made of the musical, or even read the poems they were based off of, I'm completely in the dark here.

...yeah. My entire knowledge of the musical and all things concerning it is limited to Mr. Mistoffelees because a character on this Redwall forum I play at is named after him. xD
So you pretty much lost me at the word "Jellicle".
